Differences between carbon fibre helmets and ordinary helmets

1.Light weight and high strength

The shell of ordinary helmets are mostly made of ABS plastic or glass fibre, lined with cushioning cotton and other substances, which play a certain protective role while covering the head. Helmet shell accounts for 60% of the overall area, the strength of the shell is to play a protective role in the first protection. Ordinary helmets are less strong and only professional helmets that rise to the level of competitive racing are made from carbon fibre. This is because the strength of carbon fibre helmets is much higher than ordinary helmets and the weight is very light, reducing the constraint on the athlete while enhancing the protection.

2. Impact resistance, not easily deformed

The safety hazard of cycling comes from collisions, and when a large impact is mounted on a helmet, danger ensues. Carbon fibre helmets have good impact resistance and play a better role in cushioning, with internal cushioning cotton and other materials to minimise the huge impact of a collision. At the same time, carbon fibre helmets have good stiffness and are not easily deformed after a collision, which better protects the role.

3, high temperature resistance, corrosion prevention

Whether it is a cycling trip in the city, or a professional competition of competitive riding, are inevitably dealing with high temperature, low temperature, exposure to the sun, rain, salt spray and other problems, carbon fibre helmets than ordinary helmets better resistance, aging degree is lower, the service life is also relatively longer.
