The activation steps for the Insta360 X5 are as follows:
**Preparation for Activation**
Ensure the camera has sufficient battery power (a charge level above 10% is recommended).
Ensure your mobile phone is connected to the internet and has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled.
**Activation Steps**
**First Power-On:** Press and hold the Power button for approximately 2 seconds to turn on the camera. The screen will display a language selection interface; follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language.
**Download the Insta360 App:**
Scan the QR code displayed on the camera screen;
Alternatively, scan the QR code located on the accessory box;
Or, visit the official Insta360 website → "Download" → Download the "Insta360 App."
**Connect the Camera:**
Open the Insta360 App and tap the "Discover New Device" icon located at the bottom of the screen.
Based on the camera name and the *last 6 digits of the serial number* displayed in the pop-up window, select the corresponding X5 camera.
Tap "Confirm Connection" on the camera screen.
**Firmware Update (If Available):**
Once successfully connected, if the App indicates that new firmware is available, please follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.
**Complete Activation:**
After the firmware update is finished, follow the instructions displayed within the App to complete the activation process and begin using your device normally.
⚠️ **Note:** For the initial connection, you *must* manually confirm the connection on the camera screen; otherwise, the connection cannot be established.
